Management Information System Department through the leadership of the
IT Manager and under the valuable guidance of the Hospital Director is
dedicated to provide the automation services throughout the Hospital Program.
One of the most important responsibilities of IT is that, of managing
information, security and confidentiality. Along with its goal to be,
sensitive and responsive to the various demands placed on the department’s
management. The department was created to determine, to evaluate alternatives,
to develop methods, to provide users and management with timely, accurate
decision support systems and information. IT provides direction and advice
to management and users in the development and integration of information
system throughout the hospital by:
- Distributing and upgrading computer hardware needs of the hospital.
- Troubleshooting for both standalone and local area network connected
file servers, personal computers, terminals and printers.
- Developing new systems and maintaining existing system according to
acceptable hospital standards and policies that support the access of
information
- Providing technical and help desk assistance required for the efficient
operation of the hospital office automation software installed in administrative
support departments
- Collaborating with the executive level in the setup, reconfiguration
and maintenance, problem diagnosis and training support of the Hospital
Information Systems - Cerner Health care Network Architecture consisting
of Laboratory (PathNet), Pharmacy (PharmNet), Patient Management (ProNet),
Patient Appointment and Scheduling Systems.
- Maintaining 24-hour operation support of the Hospital Information
System by appointing IT staff working on-call 24 hours a day, 7 times
a week
Technical Support

Technical Support covers software requirement
analysis, installation, upgrade and help desk support.
Network Administration
Covers the administration and maintenance
of the new or existing centralized and/or decentralized local area network
connection of the hospital and its related personal computers and peripherals
devices.
System Development
Covers the planning, analysis and design, implementation
and operation of a modified or new hospital information system.

MIS HIS Section:
Hospital Information System Management the efficient running of the HNA
application software installed in the different departments, IT assigns
staff to function as coordinator for problem diagnosis and resolution, setup
and reconfiguration and user training. Operation Section secures the system
is running smoothly 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by monitoring and
executing the various tasks and jobs specifically referred in the set system
daily, weekly and monthly operation cycles
