The North West Armed Forces Hospital Nursery
and Pre-school center.
This is a self-contained unit situated adjacent to
the main hospital building. The facilities offered within the center are
available for the children of staff working within the hospital and depending
on their contractual status. A waiting list also exists and operates for
"non-eligible" dependents. The ages of acceptance to the center
are from 6 weeks up to our ildren's 6th birthday. A pre-registration medical
is the only prerequisite for admission into the center. The center is
for HEALTHY children only.
The center opens weekdays (Saturday-Wednesday). However, the center will
remain open should the need arise through such events as a black alert.
This ensures the hospital Doctors are able to work at such critical time
with the knowledge that their children are safe and in familiar surroundings.
The center has 29 staff of various nationalities. These
qualified and experienced staff are responsible for providing care and
education for over 100 children. The children are placed in classes according
to ages as well as cognitive development, therefore ensuring a child's
educational programme matches his/her needs.
